This rustic engagement session at Gibson Ranch in Elverta, CA was seriously one for the books! After many rescheduling attempts – mostly because who knew we’d get this much rain this year! and then, oh hey wind! – we finally got to head out to Gibson Ranch and celebrate these two love birds. I’m SO glad we waited for the opportune moment because the day was perfect. Not too hot and little wind made this session easy. Not to mention, Alex and Erik are so laid back and down for anything. We braved very aggressive mosquitoes and had to work around massive weekend crowds but you’d never know it from these photos. Alex is quick to laugh and has an adorable bubbly personality while Erik is down to earth and quick to smile at his beautiful fiance. He was always making sure she was okay, whether it was helping her across a tricky piece of grass in her heels or picking her up to make her laugh.

They also brought their absolutely adorable chocolate lab because pets are totally family too so you have to include them! And then to top if off, Alex wears the most gorgeous flowy dress (and we all know how I feel about flowy dresses! Give me ALL the heart eyes!!)
