I knew this Empire Mine State Park wedding was going to be epic. I knew after I photographed Brianna and Justin’s engagement session that these two were not only meant for each other but are also two of the nicest and most genuine people you will ever meet. Brianna is a nurse and Justin is an EMT and they actually met through their jobs! Their wedding day was filled with laughter, happy tears and a TON of doggy snuggles (because when your dog is as cute as this one, you HAVE to include him).
After an amazing first look where the groom was teary eyed (I don’t blame him! His bride was STUNNING!), the couple sat down together and read the vows they had written to each other. I loved this touch – reading the vows before the ceremony – as it gave them some time to be together and really be real. Sometimes the nerves take over when you’re up there in front of everyone during the ceremony!
After their beautiful ceremony, we wandered the grounds a bit because let me tell you, Empire Mine State Park is one of the most beautiful venues I have EVER seen. Seriously, you can also go there and walk around because it’s normally just a State Park and if you ever get the chance, I highly recommend doing so. Gardens, fountains, a pool and beautiful architecture are just some of the beautiful touches to this place. We all know how much of a sucker I am for brick and stone and pretty doors. Check, check and CHECK.
The bride and groom met back up with their guests to enjoy tacos, corn hole and then danced the night away! Take a look at their gorgeous day here.
