Gibson Ranch Engagement Session
This Gibson Ranch engagement session was heaven! I have known Bricklyn and Tom since we were all in college together and Bricklyn is one of my closest friends. So when I heard they were engaged I was SO excited to celebrate with them. She lives in Paso Robles but we make trips to see each other fairly often and she asked if I would take their engagement photos when they came up to visit me! I, of course, said yes, then I knew of exactly where I wanted to take them – Gibson Ranch.
I grew up going to Gibson Ranch. Birthday parties, riding the horses and feeding the crazy geese were just a few things I remember from this place. Bricklyn rides horses so I knew this place would be perfect for her and Tom. We stopped off briefly at a blossom tree near my house in Auburn, before heading down the hill to Elverta for the rest of their Gibson Ranch engagement session.
The weather was crazy during their engagement session! One side of the pond had these gorgeous blue skies and puffy white clouds while the other had dark, grey storm clouds rolling in. It made for some pretty dramatic photos! There was one point where I wanted a certain shot and was heading over to the pond’s edge to get it when one of those pesky geese didn’t like me invading his space so he chased me! Brought back some memories of having to climb up on the picnic tables to avoid them.
We all had a laugh and the rain held out long enough for us to finish the shoot dry, even if it was a bit on the chilly side! Take a look at some of their engagement photos down below.
