So I have been wanting to do a cake smash session for a looooong time. I think they are adorable and seriously so much fun! I love the idea of them and what’s funny is cake smash sessions have actually been around for a really long time. Do you have baby pictures with your first birthday cake on your high chair and you’re just about to do a face dive into it? I know I do! Cake smash sessions definitely weren’t stylized like they are now but they are still just as fun.
This little cutie was such a joy to be around and don’t even get me started on her ADORABLE parents. Seriously, this little family is amazing. We were planning on doing this cake smash session outside and do a family session too but we got rained out! We have rescheduled the family session but the cake smash session we took indoors into my studio. It is a small space but it sure got the job done! These photos turned out so amazing although this little one wasn’t too sure what to think of having this huge cake all to herself! She kept looking at her mom like, “Am I really allowed to do this?”
I can’t wait to see this family for their family session but in the meantime check out this little cutie diving right into her 1st birthday cake smash.
PS: I about died when she pulled out the tutu. Gah! It’s too cute to handle!
